Description | Oubangui, or Oubangui-Chari was a French colony, that later became independent as the Central African Republic. Tchad (English: Chad) was separated already in 1920. Stamps of French Congo, overprinted with Oubangui-Chari-Tschad. Stamps designed by Paul Merwart. His name is mentioned in the bottom-left corner of every stamp. 3 designs are used: panther, Baka (pygmy) woman, Avenue des Cocotiers in Libreville. Stamps printed in many different colors. |
